NearLala Privacy Policy

NearLala (“we”, “the app”) is a map-first social app. This policy explains what we collect and why. Contact: johnmarketoc17@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo.
• Location. With your permission we use your location to place posts on the map and show nearby activity.
• Content you post. Captions, photos, videos, live sessions, comments, chats, and the places you pin.
• Usage. Basic app activity such as post views, needed to run the product.

How we use it

We use this information to operate NearLala: your profile, the map and feed, messaging, friend connections, and storage limits. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We host the app on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Hosting). Google processes that data under their terms. Other people see what you choose to share (public posts, friends-only posts, chats with people you message).

Permissions

• Location — nearby posts and pinning a place. You can deny this; some features will not work.
• Camera and microphone — only if you go live.
• Photos — only if you pick images or video to post or to update your profile.

Retention

Account and posts stay until you delete them or we remove them for policy reasons. Short “Activity” notes expire automatically. To delete your account, follow nearlala.web.app/delete-account or email the address above.

Children

NearLala is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
